Daredevil Antonios Drosinos is preparing to throw himself out of an aeroplane to raise hundreds of pounds for TG Lynes’ charity of the year.

Antonios, a warehouse and trade counter operative, will make the daring 13,000 ft tandem skydive in Peterborough on Sunday.

The 47-year-old, has already raised £515 for TG Lynes’ nominated charity, Noah’s Ark, and is hoping that figure will pass the £600 mark.

Antonios said he was partly inspired to raise funds for charity after the loss of his sister Georgina three years ago.

“My sister had a condition which caused her to lose her sight and become paralysed before we lost her,” he said.

“I’m pleased to be supporting Noah’s Ark which helps babies, children and young people with life-threatening and life-limiting illnesses across London. They do fantastic work”

Antonios is no stranger to extreme activities having previously completed two skydives, as well enjoying motocross, snowboarding, mountain biking, water sports and scuba diving.

He will be supported on his latest skydive by his two-year-old daughter, partner, mother and father-in-law.

He said: “I’ve always loved adventure and sports. I’m really looking forward to the weekend, getting back in the sky and raising money for a great cause.”

Noah’s Ark is one of the UK’s leading children’s hospices, providing care for over 350 children and their families every year.

TG Lynes has already raised thousands of pounds for the charity through golf days and other events, with the centrepiece gala dinner still to come later in the year.
